1. Who we are
General Consulting Group Ltd ("GCG", "we") is the controller of the personal data collected through this website. Our office is at KN 4 Av 22, Kigali, Rwanda. For any question about your data, write to contact@generalsconsultinggroups.com.
2. The data we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us through the contact form:
- Your name and email address.
- The service you are interested in, the subject and the content of your message.
Like any web server, our hosting provider may keep technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.
If you accept analytics cookies in the banner shown on your first visit, we also measure how the website is used with Google Analytics: the pages you view, how long you stay, the type of device and browser, the website that referred you, and your approximate location (country and city, derived from your IP address, which Google does not store). This tells us which content is useful; it is never used to identify you, and we do not use advertising cookies. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.
3. Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and, if you wish, to prepare a proposal.
- To keep a record of our exchanges with clients and partners.
- To protect the website against abuse and spam.
- With your consent, to understand how visitors use the website and improve it (Google Analytics). We publish the overall number of visitors and countries on our home page; these totals never identify anyone.
We process this data on the basis of your consent when you send the form, and of our legitimate interest in replying to business enquiries. We never sell your data or use it for unsolicited marketing.
4. Who receives it
Your message is delivered to our team by email through our email service provider (Mailjet), which processes it on our behalf. It is not shared with anyone else unless the law requires it.
If you accept analytics cookies, usage data is collected by Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC (Google Analytics), which processes it on our behalf and may store it outside Rwanda, including in the United States, under the safeguards described in Google's data processing terms.
5. How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship are deleted after 24 months. Data linked to a contract is kept for the period required by accounting and tax law. Analytics data is kept by Google Analytics for 14 months, and your cookie choice is remembered in your browser for 12 months.
6. Your rights
Under Rwanda's Law No. 058/2021 relating to the protection of personal data and privacy, and, for visitors in the European Union, the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Have it corrected or deleted.
- Object to or restrict its processing, and withdraw your consent at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with the National Cyber Security Authority (NCSA) of Rwanda or your local data protection authority.
To exercise these rights, email contact@generalsconsultinggroups.com. We reply within 30 days.
7. Security
We use encrypted connections and restrict access to your data to the people who need it to handle your request.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always published on this page.
